I haven’t really taken the time to write…been busy at night working on cleaning and the like. Dealing with some personal issues as well.
I guess I can sum it up in a few words. It was fun. The kids enjoyed it, my aunt went with us - the same aunt who took me to my first Night Ranger concert (muffle muffle) years ago. It was hot! Held outside and just miserably hot. Those are the two best words to describe it! We just had a great time, the show was awesome, they sound as good as always. I knew every song but one that they did off their new album.
Things haven’t been going so well so this was a welcome distraction for everyone. Click on the photos link above and right now, since they are the newest uploaded pics, you can view the photos I took. Enjoy…and don’t forget, you can still rock in America. Haha.

So I ordered one of these several weeks ago…I tried to cancel the stupid order but it was already on its way to me before I could do it.
I have mixed feelings about my Buxton Bag:
- it is really pretty ugly.
- but I can find anything I look for easily.
- not sure I like hanging it over my head then shoulder
- but came in handy @concert Friday night
- I saw a little old lady carrying one like it at the mall yesterday.
Seriously rethinking the Buxton Bag. And my mema is thinking about buying one too…maybe I need to see if she wants mine. But I don’t think she will like the color. Read the rest of this entry »

Ahh nostalgia time…
My bonus daughter has a remake of Peter Schilling’s Major Tom as her profile song on myspace. (by a band called I Hate Kate) This leads me to a Peter Schilling myspace page with the original, and it brings back memories of junior high and other songs from that time.
Memories of Wouldn’t It Be Good by Nik Kershaw, Gold by Spandau Ballet (I always liked it over True, which is a good song too), Poison Arrow by ABC…does anyone remember Life Takes a Life by Jon Butcher Axis? Eat Your Heart Out by Xavion (from Memphis!). The One Thing by INXS which was the first song I heard by them. Michael Hutchence was so hot.
I found most of these on youtube and you can go watch them HERE. I threw in Need You Tonight/Mediate so you can observe Michael Hutchence in all his ultimate hotness.
Try not to hate. Love your mate.

As some of you may (or may not) know, my husband used to work in radio. He has met some bands. We’ve gone to some shows and he arranged for us to meet Seether which I thought was pretty cool.
At any rate, he has quite a few autographed items. He has some autographed CD inserts from A Simple Plan, Sheryl Crow, 3 Doors Down, Ingram Hill. I have some signed by Seether, Marty Casey & Lovehammers, and Kevin & Bethany Paige. He has autographed pics from Nickelback and Matchbox Twenty. I have an autographed poster from Brian Setzer.
Here is why he loves me. I have an autographed picture of Loverboy that I got probably twenty (muffle muffle) years ago when I was about 13 or 14 years old. Oh, did I love Mike Reno. Yea, I know he has changed but haven’t we all.
We got to Hobby Lobby on Saturday, and buy nice frames and mats for all the pics. My Loverboy pic has seen better days, but he insisted that we include it. So, amongst all the newer bands and the fancy poster is my old, bent and torn autographed Loverboy picture that he helped to put together and hang up.
It must be love.

Not just a whole lot going on. I am going to be a little busy for a week or two. My husband has moved his stuff in, so there are assorted boxes in the kitchen. Plus I finally finished up moving stuff out of my former employer’s building, so those boxes are around, too.
I have gotten a few new CDs I still need to listen to. The new Brian Setzer Orchestra I got for Christmas and have YET to listen to. I have got to get on that! And the new Raul Malo (After Hours). That man’s voice is awesome.
Oh yea…I’m addicted to Guitar Hero. Totally. We have GH2, GH3 and I really, really MUST have the 80’s version. I have mastered Easy and am now on Medium. I watch my son on Hard and just don’t see that happening for me.
Really enjoying this being married. If only we worked the same shift. He has got some asshole bastard bosses. I work days, he works 2nd. His boss works days, and his boss’s wife works 2nd. See something wrong with this picture?
Jerks.
