buying a new car. Published by Christy on February 10th, 2008 @ 8:10 pm
Anyone here gone thru that experience recently?
I got a new car one week ago now. It wasn’t something I was planning on doing but we found something we really liked at a really good price. Slightly used, 1 year old with the standard number of miles for a one year old car. It is the color I love and a car I never thought would be affordable for me (it’s a Dodge Charger. It is inferno red. I am in love)
After some back and forth, we finally get a price and payment we know we can live with and afford. We then have to wait, even after getting loan approval, another TWO hours before the contract can be signed. Ridiculous, right?
We finally get to the accounting department, or whatever you want to call it, to sign the contract. While there, before we even get anything signed, we are BOMBARDED with other offers. View the rest of this entry…

I have something to tell you. Published by Christy on July 8th, 2007 @ 9:42 pm
But I can’t tell you yet.
Hopefully, I can tell you tomorrow.
Are you on the edge of your seats yet? All three or four of you who actually read my blog?
You can leave me a comment and tell me what you think it is. Otherwise…hopefully…tomorrow I can tell you.

we were flocked Published by Christy on June 18th, 2007 @ 9:02 pm
It was our turn to be flocked at work today:

You know, to give a brief explanation - this is part of the local Miss Arkansas contestant’s effort to raise money for the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The flock shows up at a different business everyday and it migrated to our office sometime over the weekend.
In other news - today is the first day for me on the Fat Smash Diet. Wish me luck, I really need it. You can read all about it at my diet blog, sogroovynow.wordpress.com.
Some of you may or may not have visited my myspace page. My current song is Memory in the Making by John Kilzer. I’m not sure if this song hit nationwide; it came out in 1988. John Kilzer is a local Memphis musician. I always liked that song, just nice and mellow. And it has one of my favorite lines in a song ever: you’re just a ghost in a castle, that’s my destiny to wrassle. Got to LOVE it!!
