the election.

I have actually gotten upset tonight, and over the past couple of days. I’m aggravated at people who cannot take a loss graciously.

I do not like being talked to or treated like an idiot because I made a choice. The guy I voted for last time didn’t win and I wasn’t telling you that you were bringing about the ruination of life as we know it for voting for W again.

I didn’t chose to blindly accept everything being said about both candidates - I actually read up on a few things, researched and made a decision. Can you say the same? Or did you accept something you’d heard based on one candidate’s name? Or his race?

I went to bed Tuesday evening in one of the best moods I have in a long time, and those of you who voted the other way seem to think it is your mission to ruin my mood! All the negativity directed at me and mine because of our choice is ridiculous in this day and age. And disappointing. And hurtful.

Bank of America jerks.
Published by Christy on February 24th, 2008 @ 10:09 pm

So I, like many … well probably most everyone now that the jerks have bought Countrywide … owe BOA money. I have a credit card account with them.

Last year, when I had a zero balance, they sent me an awesome transfer balance offer. So I transferred a balance, wrote my check out for my first payment two weeks before it was due, stuck it in my purse - then forgot to mail it. I figured this out on the day the payment was due, but the jerks wouldn’t let me schedule a payment for that day, but the next day.

Needless to say, they went up on my interest rate after ONE month and ONE DAY late payment. I called them and yes…it was my fault because I forgot the payment. Nothing I would say, no pointing out that I had consistently paid my bill whenever there was a balance - would work. They would not budge. So - I immediately transferred that balance and swore “never again.”

raindrops keep falling on my head.

This has got to be the weirdest spring I have seen in awhile.

It started getting warm a few weeks ago…then it turned back into winter, then to fall. I would say today would be fall because it is 47 degrees outside. We were supposed to have our city wide yard sale today and I planned on participating but…on top of being cold, it rained yesterday. I haven’t noticed if it has done more than sprinkle today but it is just cloudy and dreary. My daughter was supposed to have had a ball tournament which has been cancelled, so they are going to try to do it during the week at night next week - during Benchmark exams. I don’t think we will be playing any late games because of that. Idiots.

I am going to Eureka Springs in two weeks for a conference…I’m hoping that I can skip some legal ed sessions and do some sight seeing, because it is really pretty there. I would rather not be going at all - I am going to miss the Beale St. Music Festival which upsets me, because this year, John Legend is playing. And Wolfmother. And Corinne Bailey Rae. And Daughtry. Edwin McCain. The Ohio Players.

an eventful 24 hours
Published by Christy on April 4th, 2007 @ 7:45 pm

well…I can’t seem to get in much of a mind to blog. I just don’t have a whole lot going on. It’s just work, getting kids to school and their activities, surviving my own one little extracurricular activity.

We had a scare last night - the kids dad was taking them to the dentist and they had a wreck on the way there. Everyone is okay! They did take the girl to the hospital because of some pain she was having, but the x-rays show everything is fine. It was the other driver’s fault and thank goodness, she has insurance.

Let me just throw in some advice for everyone out there…I know that sometimes, road rage hits a little bit of everyone. I know I don’t like it when someone is right on my ass when I’m driving. That is why I will either MOVE TO THE RIGHT (which is the lane you need to move to if someone wants to pass), or, if someone is in the right lane and I can’t move right over, I will speed up and get over. Just because I don’t like them on my ass. View the rest of this entry…

what’s up Subway?
Published by Christy on March 17th, 2007 @ 4:14 pm

So I decided I wanted a pizza sub from Subway one day last week for lunch. I had sodas at work, I even had some chips. I would just get a 6″ sub and maybe spend $3 or so. Yea, the manager’s special is like $5.50 but I didn’t really want a cookie and they don’t serve Pepsi drinks there (meaning, no Mt. Dew).

Okay…a 6″ pizza sub with tax cost me freaking $4.01!!! Do you believe that crap? I let the cashier know how I felt. “That is too much,” I told her while digging change out of my purse. “If I had known that, I wouldn’t have ordered.”

They have you order at one end, THEN when you get to the other end to pay, there it was, right on the menu. $3.69 for a 6″ pizza sub. That, (as Quizno’s would agree) doesn’t have near as much meat on it as they used to have. When does three thin slices of pepperoni constitute a pizza sub?

Anyway, my point here was to warn others - even if you don’t want the chips or cookie now, or like Coke products - get tea. Save the chips and cookie for later. You won’t felt like you’ve been screwed without a kiss that way.
