great weekend
Well, it seems I have a visitor who is interested in what is going on in my world so I thought I would share my weekend activities with everyone.
We didn’t have the kiddos this weekend, and not a whole lot of extra money having gone to Memphis a couple of weeks ago, and paying off some bills. We decided that we haven’t been on a “date” in a while - you know, dinner, a movie. So we decided to have a date night last night. Unfortunately, he had to work on Friday evening but we did have some alone time after he got home. (hehe)
We got up Saturday morning and worked on putting up some of the autographed pics that he and I have collected thru the years (more him since he was in radio). We moved some other photos, came up with a plan, and worked together on putting them up. You can see pics of them in my flickr album. After that, I took a little nap since he slept in and I didn’t. After that, we goofed off on the computer then I got ready and we went into town.
We then went and picked up another one of the photos that we had to have someone else mat and frame (I’ll post a pic of it once we get it up). Then we went looking for frames for OUR wedding pictures. After that, we went to eat then to see a movie. We went to see Witless Protection and before you even comment - yes, we knew it would be silly but we wanted to laugh which is why we went. So we had popcorn and a drink and watched the silly movie, sneaking in smooches when we could. After that, we went back to another store because we didn’t have much luck finding all the frames we needed - but we did find a couple as well as a pretty small album to put the proofs in. After that, we can home and watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 because my husband hasn’t seen it yet. Then we had some more alone time. (hehe)
We got up this morning, went to pick up a few groceries, came home and he BBQ’d (it was like 70 degrees today! But it is going to get cold again on Tues). We ate our lunch and were just lazy until time for him to go to work.
I hate that he works so much and so does he. We are working on trying to fix that. Other than that, married life is really good. We have gone thru a lot of crap in the past year, have put up with some people who didn’t want us together, even had to work thru our own BS to get to where we are. It has taken hard work but it was all worth being together.
I don’t normally post blogs like this with such mundane details, but he and I just had FUN being together. We have both been bummed every since he left to go to work this afternoon. It sucks to have work interrupt such a great weekend.
And finally, to my visitor: I am the one he married. I am the one with his last name. I am the one that he comes home to every night. I am the one he is making a home with. I am the one. And he is my one.
