80’s music

Ahh nostalgia time…

My bonus daughter has a remake of Peter Schilling’s Major Tom as her profile song on myspace. (by a band called I Hate Kate) This leads me to a Peter Schilling myspace page with the original, and it brings back memories of junior high and other songs from that time.

Memories of Wouldn’t It Be Good by Nik Kershaw, Gold by Spandau Ballet (I always liked it over True, which is a good song too), Poison Arrow by ABC…does anyone remember Life Takes a Life by Jon Butcher Axis? Eat Your Heart Out by Xavion (from Memphis!). The One Thing by INXS which was the first song I heard by them. Michael Hutchence was so hot.

I found most of these on youtube and you can go watch them HERE. I threw in Need You Tonight/Mediate so you can observe Michael Hutchence in all his ultimate hotness.

Try not to hate. Love your mate.

great weekend
Published by Christy on March 2nd, 2008 @ 9:58 pm

Well, it seems I have a visitor who is interested in what is going on in my world so I thought I would share my weekend activities with everyone.

We didn’t have the kiddos this weekend, and not a whole lot of extra money having gone to Memphis a couple of weeks ago, and paying off some bills. We decided that we haven’t been on a “date” in a while - you know, dinner, a movie. So we decided to have a date night last night. Unfortunately, he had to work on Friday evening but we did have some alone time after he got home. (hehe)

We got up Saturday morning and worked on putting up some of the autographed pics that he and I have collected thru the years (more him since he was in radio). We moved some other photos, came up with a plan, and worked together on putting them up. You can see pics of them in my flickr album. After that, I took a little nap since he slept in and I didn’t. After that, we goofed off on the computer then I got ready and we went into town. View the rest of this entry…
