my Christmas fascinations.
Published by Christy on December 23rd, 2007 @ 10:42 pm

Movies: Christmas in Connecticut. The Shop Around the Corner. A Christmas Story. The Bishop’s Wife. The Santa Clause. Bad Santa.

TV: A Charlie Brown Christmas. Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town. Donny & Marie Osmond. Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular. (It actually reminded me of the cheesy variety shows from the 70’s - in a good way)

Music: Raul Malo - Marshmallow World. Kenny Loggins - Celebrate Me Home. The Pretenders - 2000 Miles. Nat King Cole. Dig the Brian Setzer Orchestra. More Brian Setzer Orchestra. Christmas is Coming - Manhattan Transfer.

Sweets: Fantasy fudge. Hot chocolate. Reese’s Christmas trees. Lifesavers. Divinity.

The most wonderful time of the year (til you go to Walmart to buy this stuff).

about that tangent
Published by Christy on December 23rd, 2007 @ 9:35 pm

Sorry for those last couple of posts…just a situation that irritated me. So I’ll drop it for now. After all, it’s the holidays, right?

We have been busting our behinds, finishing up shopping for food at this point, and a few last minute gifts. Cleaning house. Wrapping the last of the presents. Laundry. And also working on wedding plans at the same time. Spending a lot of time together and really enjoying it and each other. It’s been really nice.

He had to work today and the kids came home, so it’s back to his place for the night. I miss him already.

This year has sucked, but I think 2008 is going to be the best yet.

another Christmas theme
Published by Christy on December 2nd, 2007 @ 10:52 pm

I downloaded a free theme courtesy of Design Disease that I have altered very little for usage here. I have it as the default theme for now; I will be changing between it and Groovy Christmas probably every couple of days. They are both so pretty.

BUT you can click the link under “wrapping paper” and change to whichever theme you like - even the very un-Christmas like Hemingway. Maybe next year I can Christmas-up Hemingway.
