That is a lyric from one of my favorite songs off the new Amy Winehouse (Back to Black) CD. I think that is a cool line but I kinda like it in a different context than in the song (Tears Dry On Their Own). That song is more about breaking up with someone. But I like that line because, really ladies…when your man is leaving you after you have say, a wonderful day together. An evening date. A weekend away. Then you each have to return to your own homes. Isn’t that the way it feels, when you’re in love and he leaves to go home? When he leaves, the sun goes down.

I think it’s a cool line, at any rate.

I bought this CD a few weeks ago on sale…I think at Target. I wasn’t so sure about her when I heard Rehab, but then I heard You Know That I’m No Good and she started to grow on me.

Basically, it was a very good sale price so I went for it, and I’m really glad I did.

I can’t say that this CD has a lot of “feel good” songs…they are just good songs. Good beat. It’s just a groovy CD, and I know that is an antiquated word but I know no other way to describe it. She is such a great combination of today and retro – you can hear the girl group of the 60’s influence on the CD.

With lyrics like ‘what kind of fuckery is this’ and ‘nobody stands in between me and my man’ – seriously, how could you NOT want to buy it for yourself?
