I had a really excellent weekend. Let’s start out with photos (details with follow; click on “more” below):

We left Friday after work, checked in, went to TGI Friday’s for supper, then drove to West Memphis to the new casino and goofed off for a little while. On Saturday, we went to the mall. I got some new clothes for me and the kids, got a new hair cut and color, and we had lunch. We then went out last evening with friends; we had supper at the Hard Rock Cafe on Beale Street, then went to Alfred’s where we saw Kevin & Bethany Paige.

For those of you who don’t know, Kevin Paige is originally from Memphis and plays at Alfred’s every weekend. He had a couple of hits back in 1989-90: Don’t Shut Me Out and Anything I Want. I had been to see him several times before and it is a fun time. He sings a little bit of everything.

So, I got a birthday wish from Kevin Paige then he, his wife (who is in his band) and the band performed September, the old Earth Wind & Fire tune. He had performed it another time I saw him and I love that song. Then afterward, he came and took the time to let me have a photo made with him and briefly spoke. He might have talked more but I was kind’ve embarrassed to be acting like a teenager at my age. All I can say was it was awesome and was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had.
