so you know what this means - something in my house has torn up (as opposed to something on my car)! Never fails, it seems that fate knows when I have extra money.

Just a little plumbing problem…yea, it cost me more than I wanted to spend but thank goodness I had it. It appears, however that I am going to need a new water heater soon. And we’re talking about $300 or so. Let’s hope that something happens that enables me to come up with that kind of extra money.

Let’s see, in other news…I have been catching up on the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris in my reading. I finished Dead To the World last. I’m not really sure how many more I like to be caught up, guess I need to find out. I did read the first book in another one of her series, the Lily Bard one. I wasn’t impressed. I don’t know why … it just seemed to take about 1/2 the book to pick up speed.

…or maybe I like the supernatural element in the others. Who knows? This books are just really addicting. They aren’t necessarily as funny as Maryjanice Davidson’s Undead series, but they have their moments.

I haven’t ever really read books with a supernatural element until last year, a friend recommended both series to me. They are just a lot of fun. And I still love Janet Evanovich. She put out a new Stephanie Plum book for Valentine’s Day. It was smaller and shorter than the number books, but still funny.

Geez, I think that is about it for what’s going on with me. Still working. Plumbing problems. Finished up basketball season. Catching up on reading. Planning a trip to Alfred’s next month for my birthday.
