I hate studying, too.
So…I’m in deep shi-well with my daughter. She has a science test tomorrow with definitions that have to be memorized. It is almost 8:30 and she doesn’t know most of them. She’s been waiting on my “help” for studying. How do you help a child memorize definitions? Seriously. I had to just sit and read them over and over in my head until I knew them. I had maybe little tricks I used to help me remember. Other than that…what can I do to help my own child memorize??
Now she’s mad at me. It’s late, she’s tired, she is still studying, and I don’t know what to do to help her. It has suddenly become all MY fault that she doesn’t know her definitions.
I hate school.

Yes, darlin’, I know….it’s all OUR fault if THEY wait til the last minute. Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.
I used to make The Legal Adult write out the definition several times. Of course, he’s ADHD, so it took alot longer than with the Boyscout.
