moving right along…
to last night’s Rockstar: Supernova. But first, briefly from last week…
Boy, Dilana has had SOME week, huh? Clips rolled out last week kinda hinted at a true rock star was my thought. A little conceited (okay…a LOT), opinions about everything and everyone. She apologized to everyone and tried to explain. But what bothered me was when asked if she stood behind what she said about Ryan’s performance – (basically it wouldn’t have been ‘that good’ without the house band) the way she started to say yes, she stood behind it, then quickly said no she didn’t mean it when she got booed.
First of all – Ryan kicked ass that night, and she knew it. I think that she felt that she’s had the upper hand; that she knows she has been the favorite. So…Ryan kicked ass with an original song no less, and he was on a high because he knew he had done well…hey! She had to nip that in the bud quick. So let’s take him down a notch, criticize him while pointing out how great I am.
Second of all – if you meant what you said, then don’t be afraid to say YES. If you really believed his performance would’ve been nothing without the house band and meant it, then OWN it, girl. Everyone has a right to their opinion. No one’s is right. No one’s is wrong. Opinions are just feelings and everyone has them.
I sound negative about Dilana but you all know from the beginning, she has been my favorite. I didn’t particularly like everything I saw in that show. But we’re all human. Who hasn’t said something hurtful about someone they consider a true friend? Someone might be your friend but I’m sure you don’t like some little something about them (like the type of person they date, their clothing style, that noise they make with their teeth…you get my drift), you finally blow up to someone else one day. Of course…I guess we don’t all do ours to the press.
Last night’s show starts with more drama involving Dilana. Upset, moping, brooding, throwing things. Cutting Magni’s head when she did. (Did anyone notice her reaching behind her to Magni and it seemed that he ignored it?) Just drama, drama, drama. Ahh…the stuff of good reality tv!!
She is still my favorite. Her performance last night really kicked ass. I think the competition is getting stronger, however…which makes me wonder what she might do next.
I have to say that I was on the phone for some of the performances. It looked as though Ryan did well, as did Magni. I didn’t really see Lukas’ performance at all, so I can’t comment there. I thought Storm was okay but I have to admit…my eyes kept drifting to Toby. I kept thinking, is he going to sing that one part…? (you know…the one that goes: all this time, I can’t believe I couldn’t see, kept in the dark, but you were there in front of me).
And Toby – he is just impressing me more and more every week. I thoroughly enjoyed Rebel Yell and sang it at the top of my lungs. Much to my children’s horror.
Who do I think will get the boot tonight? I think Storm. They have really been kinda… critical of her in the last few performances.
okay…it’s coming on now…gotta go!
