school starts.
Sigh. So, it’s Friday. Three days left of my vacation. We have gone school clothes shopping, gone to bowl, gone to the movies. We were all in agreement that we stay home today and work on straightening up the house, mowing the lawn, getting laundry done and getting clothes washed so we can enjoy out 2 remaining days before we get back into our routine.
Summer is nice and all…even I get to sleep in some, because the kids spend more time with their dad during the summer. But it gets you all out of whack. You stay up later, get up later…I don’t know about the rest of you, but even buying groceries isn’t “routine.”
I just hate that school starts around here when it’s still so freaking hot. Maybe in about 3-4 weeks it will cool off some…we can hope.
We haven’t really done anything really special this summer, just tried to have some fun around the homestead. What about you? Did you do anything special this summer? Any fun vacations? Summer school?

You’ll have to check out the blog as we went to the beach one day, King’s Island , one day, and Newport Aquarium one day. Most of the time, we went to the pool. Hunnybunny’s job gave us free passes to any pool in town. That’s how we entertained all that came to see us, and honey, it was a revolving door.
But even Sam is happy that he’s got a ‘schedule’ now, and the Pickle turned 3 a couple of sunday’s ago, and we had his party. Sam had his party in June. As for me, it’s like that Staples commercial…’the most wonderful time of the year’.....
