A big “thank you” to Julie!!
Published by Christy on June 28th, 2006 @ 10:23 pm

So I was on myspace forever tonight…I have a new design.  Go check it out and tell me what you think.

I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like, but I needed a few more ideas.  Julie is a design goddess, if you couldn’t tell that by looking at my site!  She designed the sogroovy girl here.

While I was on her myspace, she had this awesome song playing…I just had to stay on her page until it was finished playing.  It was called Cold Hands Warm Heart by Brendan Benson.  If you all know him, then forgive my ignorance. But what a great song!

So…I had to find his profile…and another song, called Alternative to Love…what a great tune.  I had to add him as a friend.  Go check out my profile, I have Alternative to Love playing now, then go find his profile and listen.

Thank you, Julie!  I have to get this CD…

the thought of an overhaul.
Published by Christy on June 27th, 2006 @ 7:47 pm

I’m working on an overhaul at my house (kinda).  Finishing up odds & ends, small minor things that didn’t get done when we did the major kitchen redesign.  I recently redecorated my (very) small bathroom.  Just removing some border, getting a new shower curtain, a few new towels and a new bath rug made it all different.  That is the kind of design change I can afford.

I was thinking of - yet again - doing an overhaul here.  By that, I mean…deleting some of the ultra old stuff from when I was super depressed.  I don’t want to read any of that anymore.  Plus I fear more and more people that I ‘know’ are finding the blog.  I need to quit venting about certain things because who knows who has found me.  And it aggravates me to a point;  I want to be able to post pictures & things about myself yet in doing that, I lead the group of people I don’t want on my blog right to me.

Anywho…I’ve been saying for ages that I was going to delete that stuff, and this weekend maybe the time.  It’s time to move on.  Time to forget all that depression crap.  With the exception of one little thing nagging me from my past…life is good.  Very good.

it’s Twelve Sharp!
Published by Christy on June 20th, 2006 @ 7:04 am

So it is the annual release day for the next Stephanie Plum book by Janet Evanovich.  Here is what I have found out about costs so far:

Hasting’s $16.17

Books A Million $15.63 club price

Sam’s Club $16.16

Barnes & Noble $16.97 member price

Amazon.com (if you want to wait) $16.17

Walmart $13.67 yay!

Walk don’t run to the store and get your copy.  These books are great and if you’ve never read them, this is the summer to start!  Hilarious books.  You would have 12 in a row to read before you have to wait for one a year.  Oh, and there’s a Christmas one, also.

Happy reading.

The Lake House
Published by Christy on June 18th, 2006 @ 11:08 pm

I went to see this movie today.  I loved it.  Absolutely loved it.

I know everyone can tell from the commercials and the trailer that they live 2 years apart, so it has that “time” element.  But it was also a story of two people meant to be together, but fate seems to be working against them.

It’s really a good movie and some might say a “chick flick” but I don’t know why men wouldn’t enjoy it, also.

Made me a little weepy a couple of times but I persevered (sp?).

summer movies
Published by Christy on June 18th, 2006 @ 11:58 am

i’ve been meaning to talk about some of the movies I’ve seen over the past month.  Poseidon.  I really liked it more than I expected.  I think it was definitely worth a go-see.  (The original is playing on AMC for the next couple of weeks)

The BreakUp.  Didn’t want to go see it.  It didn’t even look good.  And boy…was I right.  What a stupid movie and a waste of money!  (Don’t read further if you are planning on seeing it)  He was a jerk, she should’ve broken up with him long before that, she attempted to win him back…WHAT?  He was like a big, lazy kid.  It was just…STUPID.  I hated this movie but it was my friend’s pick.

Cars.  Great movie.  It was a little slow to get going…slower than other Pixar movies.  But after it did, it was great.  I would go see it again, honestly.  Larry the Cable Guy makes the movie.  And since this one was so good, I won’t tell you a thing about it.  Go see it!!

I am going to see The Lake House…well in about 20 minutes.  I’ll let you know!
