sometimes, you get too old to do certain things. Published by Christy on March 31st, 2006 @ 6:49 am
Like stay up til 1 a.m. with some guy you like, blabbing like there’s no tomorrow…when you KNOW you have to go to work the next freaking day.
I feel like total crude. I shall sleep tomorrow morning until I cannot sleep anymore, dammit.

being thirty something. Published by Christy on March 26th, 2006 @ 10:32 pm
I had a great birthday weekend! I turned thirty {muffle muffle} this past Friday. It started out fairly well, I suppose… my name on the local radio station with an announcement that they didn’t know my age, and if they did tell it I would be at the station hurting someone if they actually did say my age. Humph.
My boss then came in and handed me movie passes. Isn’t that great? My favorite thing other than music is movies. That was a great gift. So, we used them to go see Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. (no laughing allowed, or criticism) No, this was not a classy comedy or high drama, but it was funny. Goofy, crude funny. And I needed the laugh. My friend and her husband joined me and my date, and another friend of mine. I won’t give out names to protect the innocent (we’ll go into ’why no names’ shortly).
Last night, that 2nd friend joined me and George at a club. We had some drinks, danced, visited, and had a good time.
I got caught up on most of the laundry in all of this, balanced the checkbook, and had some help straightening the living room and kitchen.
However, all good things must come to an end… View the rest of this entry…

I’m just very excited about some stuff happening around here!
First off, it’s almost Memphis in May time! How excited am I??? Very!! Because TRAIN will be there Friday night. I am so there. I will finally get to see them sing Drops of Jupiter live, with my own TWO eyes. I’m psyched. I’m ready.
And guess who else will be there Friday night? Marty Casey! and the Lovehammers! And we all KNOW I love me some Marty Casey and the Lovehammers. Run, don’t walk to the store and buy their debut CD. It’s great!!
I wasn’t impressed with Saturday’s line up. But Sunday, Shinedown will be there! I love them, too! I went to see them in February and they were so great.
So, to celebrate, let’s have some music. Get them while you can, because they won’t be here for long! (do not right click, click the link & follow instructions)
Marty Casey & the Lovehammers - Rain on the Brain
Shinedown - Fly From the Inside
Train - Drops of Jupiter
